XRP supporter and lawyer John Deaton is weighing in on the opportunity of Coinbase rising victorious in a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Securities and Change Fee (SEC) towards the US-based crypto change.
Talking on the iConnections World Alts convention, Deaton says Coinbase has a “large” likelihood of getting SEC’s lawsuit tossed out earlier than going into trial.
The SEC filed the lawsuit in June of 2023, accusing Coinbase of “working as an unregistered securities change, dealer, and clearing company.” In the identical month, Coinbase filed a movement to dismiss the SEC’s swimsuit towards it.
Says Deaton,
